One of the most popular YouTube personalities, Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast has grabbed the attention of A-List actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who congratulated him in an unexpected but heartfelt message.

MrBeast is one of the most well-known content creators on the internet, thanks in large part to his philanthropic efforts. The YouTuber has given away thousands of dollars to individuals in need and even started his own charity, MrBeast Philanthropy, which serves numerous towns in his area with a food bank that is entirely supported by his channel.

MrBeast is now working on yet another massive initiative, this time aimed at cleaning up the world’s beaches. Fans have donated more than $14 million to the cause so far, with half of the money going to volunteer clean-ups and the other half going to trash-cleaning robots.

MrBeast’s project has enlisted the help of a slew of high-profile YouTube influencers, who have flooded the site with videos encouraging viewers to donate and clean up beaches in their spare time. Now, it appears that none other than Leonardo DiCaprio has gotten in on the action, congratulating Donaldson in a tweet that caught everyone off guard.

MrBeast and his climb to internet celebrity despite a significant health issue was featured in a trailer for a series backed by DiCaprio’s production firm, Appian Way. In response to this, MrBeast stated; “Wasn’t expecting a tweet from Leo today, but I’ll take it.”

This is the latest huge achievement for the star, who recently went on Jimmy Kimmel Live with YouTuber and engineer Mark Rober to promote their continuing #TeamSeas project.

Given Leonardo DiCaprio’s strong commitment to environmental advocacy, it’s no surprise that he praised MrBeast, who launched his #TeamTrees project in 2019, successfully raising $20 million to plant 20 million trees by 2020.
