Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel aka xQc recently took aim at twitch fans who have been telling fellow streamer HasanAbi to donate more to charity rather than buying a $2.74m house.
In the past few days, Hasan has become the center of the talk after revealing that he bought a $2.74m mansion in West Hollywood. The drama has received mixed opinions from the netizens with some felt that it was hypocritical given his socialist views, while others have defended twitch streamer Hasan saying that there is nothing wrong with enjoying their successful career.
Some streamers on the platform have also stepped out to defend Hasan including twitch star Shroud who claimed that the backlash and the courage of Hasan buying an expensive house is ridiculous and that it makes no sense. However, this doesn’t stop some viewers to keep asking the streamer to donate more money to charity instead of buying an expensive house, something that Twitch streamer xQc talks about during his most recent live broadcast.
During the stream, xQc slammed them for making such demands and explained why it wouldn’t work and how people will come after him for other things instead. He claimed that there’s no winning in the situation, even if he did donate more. He also claimed that people often accuse streamers of donating to charity as a public relations ploy to make themselves look better, and they’d do the same in this scenario.
Here’s what he said; “If Hasan donated ten percent of donations… Imagine if ten percent went to charity, and he actually donated to charity, people would just say things like donating and making it public on Twitter is just virtue signaling. There’s no winning. There is no winning these days. You cannot win.” xQc’s take on the drama has received another heated debate about the situation on social media with some people agreeing with him and some people not, as they accused him of being another rich guy defending his rich friend.
