During a recent broadcast, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, one of Twitch’s most popular creators, stunned his audience by encouraging them to donate and subscribe to other, smaller Twitch streamers instead of him.

Former Overwatch pro xQc has established himself as one of Twitch’s most popular streamers. While his fiery personality and trademark charisma have made him a go-to channel for viewers all over the world, he can now be found on variety streaming.

He currently has just under ten million followers, with his streams attracting upwards of 50,000 viewers on a regular basis. With figures like that, it’s safe to assume he earns astronomical sums every month from viewer subscriptions and donations.

While this may be true, on December 18, his stream took an unexpected turn when the Canadian advised his viewers to invest their money elsewhere.

He explained that the majority of his Twitch earnings now come from ‘large corporations,’ rather than viewers subscribing, donating, or cheering bits, when discussing the breakdown of his Twitch earnings.

As a result, he encouraged his viewers to support smaller content creators with their subscriptions and money instead.

xQc reiterated his gratitude to all who have contributed financially, but suggested that their money would be better spent supporting smaller creators.

Many viewers of xQc praised the streamer and his words, praising his generosity. They’ll undoubtedly be appreciated by smaller streamers as well.
