Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel admitted he’s not surprised he didn’t win the Streamer of the Year award at The Streamer Awards because he didn’t encourage anyone to vote for him and also insisted that this is not an excuse.
Both xQc and Ludwig’s stream contents, both of them had fantastic years. Wherein Ludwig made waves with a record-breaking subathon, while xQc streamed for over 3,500 hours with an average of 75,000 viewers per stream.
They were nominated for the Streamer of the Year award along with Sykkuno and Mizkif at QTCinderella’s The Streamer Awards. However, only one candidate could win, and that candidate was Ludwig.
This result came as no surprise to xQc. He didn’t encourage people to vote for him because he didn’t want the situation to repeat itself from when he won the T-Mobile MVP award at the Overwatch World Cup in 2017.
For context, he claims that when he won that award, “everyone got mad” because he campaigned for people to vote. He felt like all he got was a hollow piece of metal as a result of this.
He thinks it had an impact on the outcome, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
