While there isn’t a Ukrainian flag Calling Card in Call of Duty: Warzone, players have found a different way to show their support in-game. They’re returning to one of the game’s original skins, Yegor, as part of a growing trend.
In Warzone, you can use a variety of flag Calling Cards to show your national pride, but some countries aren’t included. Ukraine is one such country that has disappointed players who wanted to show support for its people.
As a result, politically motivated gamers have found a new way to show their support. They’ve traced their lineage back to a Modern Warfare 2019 Operator named Yegor, who is described in-game as a Ukrainian national.
While you might not be able to tell Yegor is Ukrainian just by looking at him, his nationality is confirmed in the game files. Yegor Novak, according to the game, was born in Ukraine in 1986, decades before joining Captain John Price and Kyle “Gaz” Garrick in 2019.
He’s received over 22 skins since joining the game as a playable Operator with MW19, giving players options if they don’t want to go shirtless.
Regardless of your feelings on performative activism, using the skin accomplishes what beukers stated: “to show a little support.” If you want to do so and don’t already have Yegor unlocked, you can likely purchase one of his skins from the in-game Operator menu.
