Fans mistake Andrew Tate, a Twitch streamer, for the former kickboxer who is frequently spotted on social media, forcing him to change his username.

It’s almost impossible to have not heard of Andrew Tate by this point. The British-American kickboxer has garnered a lot of attention online due to his divisive opinions. Many people have denounced him for being anti-woman and misogynistic. That hasn’t stopped him from amassing a sizable following, though. On TikTok alone, videos of him have received more than five billion views overall.

The “top g” continues to be mistaken for one unknowing Twitch streamer, who is now being forced to change his name. Not to be confused with the kickboxer and businessman Andrew Tate, Twitch streamer AndrewTateLive spoke out about how his name has been ruined.

On July 16, the self-described trillionaire of 35 years old was discussed by the streamer with just over 2000 followers during a stream. He is essentially being forced to change his name on Twitch despite having created his account in 2019, well before Andrew Tate’s popularity surge.

Of course, it’s simpler said than done. It’s probably for the best given the abuse and trolls Andrew Tate fans will undoubtedly subject him to.
