A blockchain games studio called Enigma Games is now using Enjin’s Efinity blockchain on PlayNFT, the studio’s NFT minting platform, to create a plug-in that will allow Twitch’s more than 9.2 million streamers to use NFTs to increase audience engagement. According to a press release, the move will help NFTs perform better in a variety of games and applications.

Streamers on twitch are now able to create NFTs, which can be used as in-game currency in games like Min-Mins, MyMeta Minecraft, and Shield of Shalwend, all of which are available on Steam, also streamers can mint NFTs on the PlayNFT marketplace and then distribute them to their audience. The NFTs can then be used to unlock gated content in games by these viewers.

Game developers can use PlayNFT to raise funds or create unique experiences for the blockchain gaming community.

According to Xavier Moore, CEO of Enigma Games, majority of the streamers are always looking for new ways to reach their new audiences and connect with them on a deeper level, and they believe that NFTs, as a form of social currency, will become the most popular community engagement tool on the internet.According to Vice president of communications at Enjin Bryana Kortendick, PlayNFT is the world’s first NFT-utility marketplace and there hasn’t been an easy way for creators to make their NFTs usable in third-party games and apps until now, and they hope to see a lot of games and apps join PlayNFT so that creators and streamers can use the platform to meaningfully engage their audiences and level-up their NFTs in a decentralized and autonomous manner.
