An Amazon MMO New World recently announced a limited-time crossover promotion with Wheel of Time, an Amazon Prime Video epic fantasy show.

While Amazon’s MMO New World has had its share of controversy, it has been a huge success. It’s frequently listed as one of Steam’s most-played games, with over 100,000 players online at any given time. That’s a foundation on which Amazon can build, especially now that it’s finished with the major issues caused by New World’s rocky launch and can concentrate on content and events. In related news, Amazon has confirmed New World’s first crossover promotion, confirming a special limited-time partnership with Amazon Prime Video’s Wheel of Time show.

So far, there isn’t much information about the New World and Wheel of Time crossover. New World will get a series of Wheel of Time-themed cosmetics based on the epic fantasy show’s costumes and props. Players in the New World will soon be able to dress up as characters from the Wheel of Time, such as Nynaeve and Egwene, or members of the Red Aja. Tam’s Blade and the Shadowspawn Blade are two weapon designs that will be released as cosmetics. Even if New World players aren’t fans of the Wheel of Time, the designs are likely to appeal to them.

Amazon’s Twitch gaming platform will be used to release the Wheel of Time cosmetics for New World. These Wheel of Time cosmetics will be available to Amazon Prime/Prime Gaming subscribers only, and will be unlocked over time through Twitch’s Prime Gaming rewards system.
