On Twitch, FIFA isn’t one of the most popular gaming franchises. In the previous year, the game was only in the 14th most-watched category but there is one man who dominates all other content creators in the FIFA streaming scene in this category.

According to SullyGnome, Castro has more than 1,000 hours streamed playing FIFA 21 and has more than twice the hours watched of any other content creator in the game (27.7 million). He was among one of the highest-paid streamers when stream payouts were leaked earlier this month, which makes sense given the market he has cornered on the platform.

According to the leak, Twitch paid Castro’s channel (Castro 1021) $2,311,021 in subscriptions, bits, and advertisement revenue from August 2019 to October 2021. Wherein the direct donations, sponsorships, exclusive platform deals, and other forms of income were not included in the leaked payout information.

Castro ranked 19th among all other streamers on the platform in terms of payout over that 26-month period.

Castro’s large payout was most likely due to his large subscriber base. According to Twitch Tracker, he is ranked ninth among all streamers, with 37,307 active subscribers and an all-time high of 44,977 active subscribers.
