Game developer EA Dice recently stated that the bullet spread in Battlefield 2042 is already receiving attention, with changes planned.

Battlefield 2042 is now available for those who have purchased the gold or ultimate editions of the game, as well as those who have signed up for a trial through EA Play, EA’s subscription service. However, some of the weapons have a flaw, as players have discovered.

Weapons in Battlefield 2042 have been discovered to miss the center of a reticule on occasion. This is known as “bloom,” and it occurs when a bullet lands near the center of a crosshair, but not always precisely where it is aimed.

This system is used by developers to introduce inaccuracy for weapons that are too powerful at certain ranges. Many fans, however, believe that there are better ways to balance weapons.

Clips are posted at subreddit of Battlefield 2042, showing rounds of missing their targets despite the crosshair being clearly on a player. It’s worth noting that sniper rifles are unaffected.
