A passing Twitch streamer instantly leapt out of his car with a fire extinguisher to save a man who was abandoned on the side of the road after his automobile caught fire.
During the Drift Matsuri, Twitch streamer Sammit came across another driver who was stranded on the side of the road. Clearly on fire, smoke was pouring out of the driver’s automobile. Sammit didn’t waste any time in stopping and getting a tiny fire extinguisher, then he ran up to the flaming car. Sammit walked up to the car and immediately realized something was seriously wrong. Despite being under pressure to keep moving and keep the stream moving, he stopped his own car and exclaimed, “Oh my God. His whole car is on fire. Hang on, hang on. I’ve got to extinguish it guys.”
Fortunately, Sammit had a fire extinguisher on board for emergencies, so he was able to put out the flames and prevent the damage from getting worse. Soon after Sammit got out of the car, the stream stopped. He explained that he had panicked when pulling the fire extinguisher out, which had caused the car to stall, after it had restarted. The display surprised viewers, who promptly extended their sympathies to the drivers involved in the collision.
“I hope the driver in the car was ok. Awful thing to happen in the middle of nowhere,” one said. Sammit was taking part in the Drift Matsuri tournament in Japan, where drifting is a popular sport. The focus of his YouTube and Twitch channels is on exhibiting his life in Japan and the country’s growing automotive culture.
