The Guard has announced today that VALORANT streamer PROD has left the organization after four months. PROD has given his departure as being related to his move to Canada.
The Jett-flying Twitch streamer was signed by The Guard in March of this year as a result of his explosive rise in popularity at the time. He was elevated to the front of the VALORANT community and became well-known for his playfulness and movement in Radiant.
PROD has amassed over 500,000 followers on Twitch and averages over 4,500 viewers as its popularity keeps growing. In addition to VALORANT, PROD has streamed other games on Twitch, including gambling.
Some viewers have hinted that PROD might keep up his gambling streams if he relocates to Canada because there are fewer restrictions there than there are in the US. Trainwreckstv, a Twitch streamer, relocated to Canada last year to take advantage of the country’s laxer regulations on cryptocurrency and online betting.
In order to increase its popularity on YouTube, The Guard previously hired PROD to stream content. During that time, PROD also hosted watch parties for some of the most crucial matches on the North American VALORANT Champions Tour. On the channel, he also streamed VALORANT ranked content.
The Guard has accumulated over 45,000 subscribers since the company joined YouTube in June of last year.
