360Zeus, a Portuguese Twitch streamer, was forced to explain Twitch’s hot tub category to his mother after she discovered him watching one of the streamers in the category.
Twitch streamer 360Zeus typically has between 10 and 20 viewers, however one of his most recent videos went completely viral and received around 150,000 views. Before starting a Twitch stream from the hot tub area, the Portuguese streamer was amusing his chatters by browsing the internet. Zeus’s mother entered his room after a few minutes of him talking about the stream with his chat, and she was astounded by the material her son was watching.
Zeus started to explain to his mother that this is the kind of stuff that the website permits in his native tongue before bursting out in laughter. Zeus’ chat room was immediately flooded with laughter as soon as his mother entered the room. Zeus himself remarked, “Now my mom is disappointed, see? This is what you get,” right after she left the room.
The video went viral, ranking among the most popular LifestreamFails Reddit videos the day it was posted there. The fact that such content could be streamed on the platform astonished X’s audience, and several people pointed out that the hot tub streamer in the footage almost appeared naked in her stream’s thumbnail. “In the thumbnail, I thought surely she must be wearing something like skin-colored tight pants but…” said one viewer, while another added: “She literally looks naked in the thumbnail wtf.”
There have been incidents were hot tub category streamers were prohibited, so not everything is permitted, but many still believe the dress code requirements are excessively lax for some categories and excessively stringent for others.
