After being punished for “accidentally” copying an explicit emote into his own chat, Twitch partner Sliker had his latest ban overturned early.
A Popular English streamer Sliker was the latest to be banned from Twitch, following a wave of major bans over the past few days. Sliker’s latest ban appeared to be the result of copying a graphic text emote into his own chat, marking his second suspension this year.
Many assumed the banhammer had been slapped down because of his flirtatious AI stream on April 19, but this was not the case. Sliker took to Instagram to confirm the reason for his recent Twitch suspension.
Sliker copied the emote over without hesitation, apparently unaware of its contents, and his account was flagged as a result.
Sharing a single emote, even in his own channel, was apparently enough to get his account temporarily banned for violating the Twitch Terms of Service.
Unlike a large number of Twitch bans, however, Sliker’s silver lining was that he knew exactly why he was being banned and for how long.
Sliker was able to get his Twitch ban lifted two days early after filing an appeal. He has regained full access to his account as of April 20th.
