ShahZam is a professional CS:GO player who has been part of the scene since 2014, although he has also been competing in Valorant since its release. Over the course of his career, he has developed a dedicated fan base thanks to his high-level fps skills, strong teamwork and dedication to the grind. We have provided a summary of the equipment that features in ShahZam’s gaming setup to show you how he optimizes his gameplay. It should be noted that both his Logitech gear was sponsored to him.
WHAT MONITOR DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 monitor. The BenQ XL2546 is a 24.5″ monitor that was designed to enhance the experience of both fps gamers and pro-players alike. Hence, it’s refresh rate options of 60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz and 240Hz at a response time of 1ms (grey-to-grey.) Its LCD display offers a pixel pitch of 0.28mm and a maximum brightness of 320cd/㎡. It also integrates useful technologies such as its Proprietary Dynamic Accuracy Technology (DyAc) that prevents blurriness and its Black eQualizer that brightens dark scenes.
In order to alleviate distractions, it also comes with two removable side shields that can help to block out peripheral distractions from the user’s view. Its base allows for adjustment options such as its tilting. between -5°~ 20°, to swivel between -45°~45°, to pivot -90°/90° and also allows for the monitors height to be increased by up to 14cm (5.51”.) It measures 57 x 51.5 x 22.6cm (22.44 x 20.29 x 8.9”) and is VESA wall-mounting compatible. It requires either a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 or better, or AMD Radeon RX 480 or better for optimum performance.
WHAT MOUSE DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a Logitech G703 Hero (Lightspeed) mouse. ShahZam’s gaming setup includes the G703 wireless gaming mouse that now contains a Hero 25K optical sensor, as opposed to the 16K senor found in the previous models. The 25K sensor provides a 100-25,600DPI range that can be set in increments of 50, with the potential to store up to four DPI profiles on the mouse itself. It has a maximum acceleration of 40G and a maximum tracking speed of 400 IPS. In order to improve its responsiveness further, its right and left clickers are set on metal-spring button tensioning.
It is designed for right-handed users both in shape and in its button placement, as the side buttons are located o the right-thumb side. Its rubber side grips are on both sides of the mouse, which helps with control. It also comes with an extra weight that can be added to increase its weight from 95g (3.35oz) to 105g (3.7oz.) It can be used while it is charging and is also PowerPlay compatible. This means that it can be charged wireless by means of Logitech’s PowerPlay mousepad. However, this is not the mousepad that he has opted for. Its battery life can last between 35 – 60 hours, depending on whether its LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting is left on.
WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a Logitech G640 mousepad. The G640 large cloth mousepad that has a rubberized underside. This helps to prevent it from sliding while during use. It measures 40 x 0.3 x 46cm (15.75 x 0.12 x 18.11″) and weighs about 354.4g (12.5oz), and is can be easily rolled up for storage or transportation purposes.
WHAT HEADSET DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a HyperX Cloud II headset. The HyperX Cloud II is an upgraded version of the original HyperX Cloud headset. Its 53mm neodymium drivers produces a frequency response range of 15 – 25,000Hz at a sensitivity of 98±3dB and an impedance of 60Ω.
It is constructed from solid aluminum with a leatherette-padded adjustable headband. It also comes with two sets of interchangeable ear pads. One is a leatherette-covered memory foam set, while the other is a velour set.
Its condenser microphone is detachable and has a noise-cancelling effect thanks to its unidirectional polar pattern. It offers a frequency response range of 50-18,000Hz that is almost double the average range of a headset mic. It operates at a nominal impedance of 2.2kΩ and a sensitivity of -39±3dB. It weighs. 276.69g (0.61lbs) and is compatible with Windows 7 or later, Mac OSX or later, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, Xbox One and PS4 devices. However, some of them will need a headset adapter to register.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B is possibly the most popular microphone among streamers, with other user including GreekGodX, Destroy and Diegosaurs. This dynamic microphone has a unidirectional polar pattern that inputs at an end-address. This has a noise-cancelling effect, as it picks up frontal inputs, while barely registering inputs from the side or back of the device. To further enhance the audio output, it also has an internal shock mount to stifle bump and knock sounds, as well as an internal pop-filter to stifle mouth plosive sounds. Its external, removable windshield and presence boost button and high press-filter switch are also useful tools.

ShahZam uses a Logitech C920 webcam. ShahZam’s gaming setup includes the Logitech C920. It is a basic webcam with a plug-and-play design that can easily clip on to flat screen monitors, as well as attached to a stand. Its 3mp optical sensor can record at either 720p at 60fps or at 1080p at 30fps. It has a field of view of 78° and integrates RightLight 2 light correction technology that allows it to automatically adjust to lighting changes in the room. It is compatible with Windows 7 or later and Mac OS 10.0 or later.
WHAT CHAIR DOES SHAHZAM USE?
ShahZam uses a Herman Miller Embody chair. ShahZam’s gaming setup includes the Berry Blue version of this chair, as it was sponsored to him by Herman Miller. Its frame comprises of aluminum that is then encased in plastic. Its ergonomic design that was inspired by the pressure balance distribution research of ophthalmic neurobiologist Budd Tucker. This resulted in a design that encourages natural alignment and provides support for healthy movements and body positioning by means of its backfit adjustment that enables ShahZam to position the backrest so that it aligns with his spine’s natural curve. It also offers 2D armrest adjust in terms of height and outward, as well as seat height alteration and tilting.
