Twitch streamer Robcdee attended TwitchCon in Amsterdam and has since carried on streaming. He saw a particularly awkward handshake between a stream sniper and Jaystreazy while wandering around the city.

After the handshake, Robcdee attempted to give the fan some guidance on how to handle such situations; the interaction was captured on camera and shared on the LivestreamFails subReddit.

In front of Robcdee, a regular Twitch viewer approached Jaystreazy to shake his hand as they were both strolling through Amsterdam. The fan held on to Jay for an uncomfortably long time before asking the streamer a question. The handshake persisted until a woman approached them directly, breaking it off. Jay then appeared relieved from the uncomfortable situation.

The young man later received some advice from Robcdee on how to approach content creators in the future. It was amusing to the streamer’s chat, which was flooded with KEKW and Omegalul emotes.

The streamer attempted to assist the fan but was frequently cut off in the middle of a sentence by a question about Esfand. Robcdee would finally be able to speak, and he would give the Twitch fan some incredibly helpful advice.

The stream sniper concurred, describing it as the right move. Robcdee decided to assist the awkward fan instead of making fun of them, hopefully leading to better interactions with streamers in the future.

The actual handshake with Jaystreazy, which lasted for a very long time, was the subject of Reddit’s discussion. One Redditor provided context for the incident and blamed Jaystreazy’s response to the handshake for it.

People would make fun of the person and their choice. Someone gripping the other person in a death grip offended a Redditor.

Some chose to concentrate on the woman who casually passed through them because they didn’t feel it was particularly awkward. Others would argue otherwise, finding the 10-second handshake that ended in a query about Ice Poseidon to be incredibly unsettling.

Some people laughed at the girl who broke up the handshake because she shielded Jaystreazy from the stream sniper. Others laughed, saying it was impolite to break their handshake. At the very least, Robcdee’s chat and Reddit found the interaction amusing, so hopefully, the stream sniper learned how to interact with a Twitch streamer.
