The cause of Twitch’s most recent suspension of contentious streamer Adin Ross has been made public.
As of this past weekend, Ross received the eighth ban of his career from Twitch. Ross, though, was given a ban this time, which he claimed would keep him off Twitch indefinitely. Even though Twitch withheld an explanation for Ross’ expulsion at the time the ban hammer fell, the company has now offered some clarification. Ross was banned from the site as a result of his chat not being properly regulated, according to a statement Twitch provided to Dexerto. According to Twitch, “racist and anti-semitic messages” of any kind are not permitted on the network, citing the site’s established guidelines. As a result, Twitch decided to intervene and punish Ross with a ban after discovering multiple messages of this nature in Ross’ chat that weren’t concealed or deleted during his stream.
The streaming service issued a statement stating that “per our Community Guidelines, unmoderated Hateful Conduct in chat, such as racist and anti-semitic messages, is not allowed on Twitch.”
Ross has said he doesn’t care about the decision to permanently remove him off Twitch, so we don’t know what he thinks of it. Ross mentions that he recently entered into a new deal with Kick, which will be his new streaming home going forward. Despite this, he continues to insist that Twitch banned him “without cause” and that the action was a part of a bigger campaign to have him canceled.
Adin Ross stated; “I already signed my deal to this s**t. It don’t matter. I’ve already locked myself in on Kick. Listen, I’m permanently banned on Twitch. It’s done. It’s already done. But I got permanently banned for no reason at all.”
