Whether it’s Mileena ripping throats out or Sonya throwing a series of fast-paced punches and kicks, the Mortal Kombat franchise is known for its intense action. Any of Mortal Kombat 11’s combat would be extremely difficult to master. Someone has, however, done just that! Sofia Stunts, a Twitch streamer and stuntwoman, recreated Sonya’s intense action in a YouTube video, highlighting her abilities.
Sofia Stunts, a Danish stuntwoman, has been doing this type of work for a long time. In her YouTube video, she shows off her skills alongside clips from Mortal Kombat 11’s Special Forces soldier Sonya Blade.
Sonya’s movements in real life are inspiring to watch as one of the franchise’s original characters. Sofia does an excellent job recreating Sonya’s fists and kicks, which she uses to deliver brutal strikes to her opponents.
Additionally, Sofia not only performs some of the character’s standard moves, but also shows how some of the more heinous actions, such as brutalities, are carried out. She also added a couple of extra move sets based on the character to give it her own unique spin. Overall, it’s an impressive piece of work.
Sofia’s recreations include more than just Sonya. Cassie Cage’s moves have also been replicated in Mortal Kombat. She’s also been seen as Tekken’s Ling Xiaoyu and Lili.
This Mortal Kombat stuntwoman possesses incredible abilities that I could never achieve on my own. Such feats remind me of the old videos of people trying to imitate Revolver Ocelot’s gun spinning. I’d like to see her tackle other characters, such as the Super Smash Bros. franchise’s large roster. Sofia Stunts deserves praise for her outstanding work.
