Twitch users are well aware of the company’s subjective application of its Community Guidelines, as well as its preference for top streamers.
TSM‘s QTCinderella reviewed the highlights of her chaotic and fruitful Shitcamp 2021 event on her Twitch live last night, when top Twitch streamers including Ludwig, xQc, Sodapoppin, Justaminx, and Hasanabi engaged in trivia, dress-up, and went to a shooting range, among other activities.
QTCinderella was expected to display a clip from her lover Ludwig’s stream after watching a lot of the top clips. As of this writing, the video titled “The Mogul Money ads are getting crazy” has nearly 80,000 views.
It’s a well-made commercial for Ludwig’s Jeopardy-style game show, Mogul Money, on which he hosts trivia rounds. DisguisedToast and JSchlatt were among the Twitch streamers and influencers featured in the first episode.
QTCinderella said before playing the clip that she is scared to show the ad because of the fake blood. Because Ludwig and other people might not be banned, but she might be banned. She went on to say that she had seen other Twitch accounts suspended for showing similar content.
She is most likely referring to the difference in Twitch statistics and audience size between her and Pokimane. Pokimane has an average of 500,000 total views per stream and 8 million Twitch followers. QTCinderella has about 500,000 Twitch followers, and her total views per stream range from 30,000 to 100,000 or more, depending on the length and content of the stream.
There were mixed feelings in QTCinderella’s chat about whether or not it was safe to show the video. Some said she could because she was a TSM member and that it was okay for her to produce blood, while others warned her not to.
Twitch users have long complained about Twitch’s inconsistent rule enforcement when it comes to the dress code, permitted language, and laws regulating sexual or violent games or behavior on stream. Twitch’s inconsistent rule enforcement for streamers like Fedmyster and xQc has been a source of contention in the past.
“Content that solely focuses on extreme or gratuitous gore and violence is prohibited,” according to Twitch’s current Community Guidelines. It’s unclear whether Ludwig’s Mogul Money commercial, which features fake blood, vomiting, murder, and a chainsaw chopping up a body, falls under this rule.
