Pokimane was recently stunned when she accidentally melted a hole in her streaming equipment during her previous live streaming broadcast.
Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is a well-known and well-liked Twitch streamer on Twitch with more than 8 million followers. She is known for her amusing interactions with other influencers as well as her entertaining gaming streams.
Recently, while Pokimane’s stream is full of hilarious antics, such as the time she helped none other than Doja Cat with technical difficulties, no one expected a fire to nearly break out in her streaming room.
She got into trouble when she tried to change the color of a powerful light that illuminated the background of her broadcast and she initially used her hands to cover the light with a blue filter, unable to secure it to the equipment in any other way and asked if she should just keep it in her hand the whole time and chuckled.
Pokimane seemed to turn up the brightness of her lamp to get a better look at the blue light effect, but the mood quickly changed from amusement to terror when she accidentally appeared to have increased the heat coming out of the bulb by increasing the brightness, as a flash of light and smoke emitted from the filter she was holding.
She screamed as she quickly removed the filter from the light, revealing a neat hole melted into the blue material’s center and said that she melted a hole in it but the crisis was averted quickly and then she joked on TikTok that she’d “almost started a fire” while streaming live in front of thousands of viewers.
Pokimane appears to be unharmed, despite the fact that her light filter appears to be permanently broken.
