After a week of bikini streams, a Twitch streamer was banned for “testing new policies” on the platform. Despite the fact that Twitch does not have any ‘new’ policies, the content earned them a ban.

Twitch has a very strict set of rules and guidelines that they expect broadcasters to follow, but there are times when things go wrong because contextual rules allowed swimwear to be worn when at a pool, beach, or hot tub, bikini-clad hot tub streams became popular throughout 2021.

They were so popular on Twitch that the platform added a category for ‘Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches,’ much to the chagrin of some viewers. However, many streamers would wear bikinis or beachwear and be banned as a result, causing some debate about where the line should be drawn.

Pinkie, a streamer, wanted to put this to the test with a week of bikini streams to start off May 2022. While she will only be off the platform for a few days, she doesn’t seem to mind that she isn’t allowed to stream because there are no new Twitch policies regarding bikini streams, it’s unclear which policy she was testing. One commenter on the above tweet, however, expressed concern that she was “showing too much” and thus breaking Twitch’s policy on nudity and sexually suggestive content.

Pinkie believes her ban is due to her bikini streams, despite Twitch’s refusal to comment on individual bans. She was banned in 2021 after a bizarre video of her ‘queefing’ on stream went viral, prompting her to say that society should “normalize front butt flatulence.”
