After accusing Felix “xQc” Lengyel of sending viewers to his stream to spread hate, Nate Hill has apologized.
Streamer Nate Hill publicly apologized for accusing Canadian streamer xQc of having his channel spammed with hate raids during a recent Twitch livestream. According to his own words, he made the generalization based on his previous interactions with xQc’s fan base.
Nate also stated that he did not believe the issue was that serious, and that his remarks had been exaggerated.
Nate Hill has issued an apology for his recent remarks about xQc and his Twitch community. After coming out and accusing xQc of sending his army of “losers” to spam his chat with hatred, the streamer received a lot of backlash online.
People on Reddit found evidence to refute Nate Hill’s claims after he made his comments. It sparked a massive backlash against the streamer, which included not only Reddit users, but also fellow streamers who came out in support of xQc.
Imane “Pokimane” Anys, in particular, spoke out against Nate Hill’s remarks. She was adamant that he had generalized everyone in xQc’s community because of a few spamming insults. She claimed that “bad apples” can be found everywhere.
Nate Hill admitted that he was mistaken and then explained why he made those statements. He explained to his audience that he made the comments based on his impressions of xQc and his community from his limited interactions with them.
Nate Hill was quick to admit that the way he made those statements was incorrect. He claimed that he did his due diligence before saying something controversial, but xQc’s VODs from the event were removed.
He apologized and said he didn’t mean what he said, accusing people on social media of making a mountain out of a molehill.
