You wouldn’t think Nadeshot would ever want to switch lives with anyone. The co-founder and co-owner of the esports organization 100 Thieves currently have a lot to be joyful about. He has already achieved success as a professional gamer, amassing enormous victories in Call of Duty. With millions of subscribers on both platforms, he is also a popular YouTube content creator as well as a Twitch streamer. He’s even starting to create his own video games, as 100 Thieves recently revealed progress on the enigmatic Project X.
He also appears to be lucky in relationships, as if that weren’t enough. Although Nadeshot doesn’t have many complaints about either his personal or professional life—he is approaching his third anniversary with girlfriend Haley Hey, a fellow veteran of the gaming industry—it does seem that the grass is always greener on the other side. Nadeshot expressed his desire to swap lives with fellow streamer and co-owner of 100 Thieves Valkyrae in a recent episode of the “We Three Thieves” video podcast.
Nadeshot displayed some self-deprecating humor when asked who he’d want to trade places with in life. He declared he would switch places with Valkyrae in order to experience what it’s like to once again be relevant.
He took a moment to reflect on his past as an esports competitor, but he felt he had never attained the level of support and fandom that she had. A quality he said he needs to work on for himself, he also expressed his admiration for her forging ahead into media like magazines and music videos while still remaining modest.
Nadeshot has long been a supporter of Valkyrae. When she was involved in a beauty scandal involving her endorsement of a dubious skincare product, he previously stood up for her, and as Nadeshot pointed out, there is much about Valkyrae and her success that fans can admire. In a few years, she went from working at GameStop to ruling the gaming world, and her list of accomplishments keeps growing.
Nadeshot shouldn’t feel too overshadowed, though, as he has accomplished a lot on his own. He did seem to make the remark in jest, and the other 100 Thieves team members who joined him for the video smiled and laughed at him.
There is no reason to believe Nadeshot is unhappy with the direction his career is taking, despite the fact that he occasionally envies Valkyrae.
