The allure of the scene has drawn the attention of celebrities such as Floyd Mayweather, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion, Kamaru Usman, and others. We can now add those names to the list because Payne has expressed interest in fighting boy band musicians in the near future.
Payne stated on the ImPaulsive podcast that he would be interested in a match-up against one of the two YouTubers responsible for the trend’s inception. This prompted KSI to respond angrily to Payne’s assertion. Payne’s combat challenge was boldly rejected for the time being by the former member of Sidemen, who was unsure whether the recording artist was capable of meeting the task.
Payne admitted that KSI would have to drop down a few weight classes to make the fight fair, but the YouTuber remains skeptical. Instead, he suggested that the artist do a practice run with someone who has already warmed up in the ring before proceeding to the next challenge. In their most recent fight, Austin McBroom defeated Bryce Hall at the YouTubers vs. TikTokers: Social Gloves event.
A match like this could happen in the not-too-distant future, provided The Island Boys don’t beat them to the punch and claim Hall first.
If Payne were to fight and defeat Hall, it appears that KSI might be willing to consider Payne returning to the ring against an intriguing opponent.
