In a recent stream with iShowSpeed prior to their exclusive Rumble show, Kai Cenat mocked the streaming service Kick by saying that they “could have had us.”
Kai Cenat, one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, has long caught Kick’s attention. Kick has taken steps to build a rapport with the streamer as tensions between Kai and Twitch have increased recently, largely as a result of the creator’s repeated violations of the Terms of Service. However, it now appears that Kai Cenat has given up on Kick as a potential new platform for him to publish material, as in the same tape where he criticized Kick, he also praised Rumble, the platform he and iShowSpeed joined for a new livestreaming show.
Kai instructed the streaming service to “get back” in a footage from a stream with iShowSpeed before apologizing to them. But after a little while, he intensified the callout. He said: “I’m sorry Kick. Rumble up! You know what? You know what? Yo, Kick! If you wanted us, you could have had us! W Rumble.”
Although Speed is silent in the video, it’s unclear whether he concurs with Kai’s remarks. When Kai Cenat was suspended from Twitch, Kick defended him. They criticized the competing streaming service, calling the decision to prohibit them a “priceless” error. It doesn’t seem like the goodwill has paid off, though. Adin Ross, a fellow streamer who is also Kick’s biggest creator and one of its most outspoken supporters, has repeatedly tried to sign both Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed, so this rejection has a more personal touch. He earlier said that their choice to collaborate with Rumble for their new show “hurt” him.
