Jidon “JiDion,” a well-known YouTuber and streamer, went live on his channel to explain that even after his Social Security Number (SSN) was made public, he was unable to change it.
After Jidion’s Twitter account was hacked on April 14 and the hacker published a picture of the streamer’s SSN card, a bad situation developed. Despite the leak, JiDion claimed that the authorities had told him that, barring irreparable harm, he would not be able to change his SSN. Jidon said, inconsolable: “I have to wait for there to be a problem”
Jidon admitted that dealing with the fallout from the Twitter attack required him to travel to various locations, including the offices of his cellular carrier and the Social Security Number (SSN): “My manager flew out, the whole day we just went to the cellular providers, had to go to the Social Security office. I can’t even change my social. Like, literally, I have to wait for you guys to do more damage for me to f**king change my social. Isn’t that crazy? I have to wait till I get, like, a lot of damage equivalent to my income, in order to have the ability to change my Social Security number. I’m like, ‘What the f**k?’. So I have to wait for there to be a problem for me to change my social.”
As it seemed to be a “inside job” from his cellular carrier, he also said that he had to block his credit card and that he knew who the hacker was. Due to legal constraints, Jidon was unable to divulge all of the crucial information. He did, however, say that his attorneys are in charge of the situation.
