Following the death of J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, Rowling is back on Twitter with her hot takes on trans issues, and a retweet in opposition to her is getting more likes than the original post.
Rowling wrote in a Facebook post while sharing a BBC News video clip about gender dysphoria in children.
Twitch streamer Keffals has been attempting to ratio Rowling for making what many consider to be anti-trans remarks for quite some time now. On Friday, Keffals’ response had over 31,000 likes, compared to Rowling’s original post, which had only about 13,000 likes. Rowling’s tweet received more than 2,500 retweets, while Keffals’ received over 5,000. By our definition, we’d say Keffals ratioed Rowling successfully.
To say Rowling is a divisive figure is an understatement.
Vladimir Putin, Russia’s autocratic leader, appeared to align himself with Rowling earlier this month in a video in which he slammed “cancel culture,” as if being a crusader against a meaningless buzzword was some sort of justification for launching a war with Ukraine.
Rowling retaliated against Putin after he mentioned her in his speech, essentially calling him a war criminal and stating that she supports Ukraine.
