Dream SMP is likely the most popular Minecraft multiplayer server. It has around 30 of the best Minecraft content creators all playing together. As a result of this attraction, the server has sponsored a number of events involving a variety of different well-known content creators.
The server owner of the Dream SMP, Dream himself just recently announced an event on October 30 in which the winner will receive an Elytra on the server. This was significant because the Elytra is the most powerful gear in the game, allowing players to fly in Minecraft.
Dream SMP will be hosting a charity event for Team Seas, a crowd-funded organization helping in cleaning the oceans. During the event, players will clean up waste in Minecraft’s oceans and collect money for charity to help clean up the oceans in real life. Many Minecraft streamers responded with amusing tweets about the event after hearing about this enjoyable and useful event. Many fans also responded with screenshots of Team Seas donation receipts.
MrBeast, the man behind the charity event, also responded lovingly to the news.
In December 2020, MrBeast held a $100k gift card challenge on Dream SMP. He is also co-hosting the charity event for TeamSeas on the server this time. MrBeast and Mark Rober, two well-known YouTubers, founded Team Seas as a charity fundraiser. One pound of rubbish will be removed from oceans, beaches, seas, and rivers for every dollar donated. Up to this point, 3.3 million pounds of garbage have been eliminated.
