Despite being released before the controversial live streamer’s sudden popularity, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 contains a hidden Dr Disrespect Easter egg. For some strange reason, the 2011 shooter has made a comeback. After a tournament, Modern Warfare 3 soared to the top of Twitch’s charts earlier this year, demonstrating massive interest in the online game.

The epic conclusion to Infinity Ward’s trilogy that helped make Call of Duty a household name was Modern Warfare 3. Although the series was well-known prior to Call of Duty 4, the game redefined the series’ and online shooter genres’ potential in the Xbox 360 era.

ModernWarzone was recently playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and discovered what fans believe to be a brand-new Easter Egg. Guy Beahm, the Twitch streamer’s real-life counterpart, wrote a Dr Disrespect book, which the fan discovered. Beahm worked as an employee at Sledgehammer Games before launching his online career.

Beahm worked as a community manager on Modern Warfare 3, but for the developer’s next game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, he became a level designer. It appears that he or someone at the studio thought it would be amusing to pay homage to his Dr Disrespect persona, which he had previously used in a smaller capacity before joining Sledgehammer Games.

Dr. Disrespect has returned to the game development scene, where he is assisting in the development of a first-person shooter influenced by other content creators and fans of the genre. There are no details about the new game yet, but he’ll be joined by Robert Bowling, an ex-Infinity Ward community manager who left the studio after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Because the studio is still relatively new, fans will have to wait a while to see or play whatever the team is working on.
