After Greekgodx said he would call out any fake British accents for being racist following his Twitch ban, Twitch streamer Hasan made fun of him.
Greekgodx received his second Twitch ban in a month on July 28 for his second instance of hate speech. Many people think it was because of a widely shared video from his livestream in which he is seen impersonating an Asian family and making fun of their accent.
Greek, however, refuted any allegations that he was acting in a racist manner. Later, he tweeted that he would call out anyone who attempted to imitate his accent as being wholly racist if he heard them.
Hasan made the decision to test Greek’s threats by reading the tweet aloud in an exaggerated British accent.
On his livestream on July 29, Hasan read Greek’s tweet. He chose to read it out in an exaggerated British accent though, hoping to rattle Greek.
The 31-year-old expressed his shock at Greek’s remark after regaining his natural voice. Greekgodx and Hasan, in contrast to other streamers in the community, haven’t physically clashed as of the time of writing. He is yet another person to charge Greek with acting unusually and adopting a false persona in order to gain attention.
Greek is currently appealing the two-week Twitch suspension that he received. He has yet to publicly keep his word and accuse Hasan of being a “racist” for the popular video, though.
