Grand Theft Auto V was released in September 2013, making it a year and a half short of a decade since it was first released. To say the least, there’s a huge gap between the last game and the next. Rockstar Games has confirmed that it is working on the next game in the series, putting to rest any fears that the franchise is coming to an end with this installment.
Even so, that is only a small part of a statement that addresses the content situation with Grand Theft Auto V and its Online component in general. Apart from the fact that GTA 6 is in development, no other information has been released.
Apart from that, it’s mostly about GTA V and GTA Online, as previously stated. A new version of the former is about to be released for current-generation consoles. This will be released on March 15th, and will include ray tracing, 4K resolution, HDR, and all of the other goodies you’d expect. There’s also a one-time migration option for moving your save file from an older console to the newer machine.
Overall, there is still a long way to go until the next Grand Theft Auto game is revealed. It was previously speculated that it would only be released in 2025. However, according to VGC, Take-Two Interactive’s financial guidance indicates that the new GTA game will be released in March 2024.
