Just hours after the news of FaZe bluefille’s joining the org came on May 25, FaZe Rain voiced his opposition to it.
Quick to respond, FaZe bluefille, better known as Grace Van Dien from Stranger Things, called out FaZe Rain for disparaging her signature. Van Dien may be heard discussing the claims made by FaZe Rain over her signing yesterday in a tape that was recorded on Twitch and afterwards circulated on social media. She appears to be responding to a chat query. She largely criticizes Rain’s assertion that she was only employed because of Stranger Things, stating, “That is how I got the meeting, but that is absolutely not why I was signed.”
Van Dien addressed Rain directly saying “Were you in the meeting with us? Were you there? No, I’ve never fucking met you. The things we spoke about in the meeting are why it happened. So get fucking wrecked.”
She didn’t go into detail about what they talked about in the meeting, but in their signing announcements, Van Dien and FaZe stated that they wanted to foster a more supportive environment for female gamers. FaZe Rain has caused a stir within the organization recently by criticizing the course it has been heading in. Following his own disclosure of the impending contract less than a week ago, this dispute with Van Dien is his most recent grievance. Although it’s uncertain how or even if FaZe would respond to this internal turmoil, it seems improbable given that Rain gave warnings about his response a week in advance.
