G4TV recently came back with two classic shows that have been recently rebooted for a new generation of viewers. With its flagship shows Attack of the Show!, and Xplay, the network’s original run ended on November 30, 2014. , which will end in early 2013. Recently, the network was relaunched as a hybrid outlet, airing its content on both a linear channel and on Twitch and YouTube. Both AOTS and X Play are back, which is great news for fans of the original network’s programming.
Xplay will stream its live versions of its shows twice weekly on Twitch/YouTube at exactly 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 a.m. ET Show-stopping attack! Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. ET. Attack of the Show: Vibe Check will be Tuesdays at 7 p.m. ET and Attack of the Show: The Loop interview-based are two spinoffs from AOTS (Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET).
TV main channel for edited-for-cable versions will air, and those dates/times can be found by checking users’ local listings. G4’s YouTube channel archived versions of the said shows, as well as various segments, that users and fans can watch at any time.
Froskurinn, The Completionist, and The Black Hokage return to host X Play alongside a cast of incredibly knowledgeable and hilarious co-hosts. Gina Darling, Kassem G, Will Neff, and Fiona Nova join host Kevin Pereira on a similar treatment for AOTS. Austin Creed (a.k.a. WWE Superstar Xavier Woods), Ovilee May, Goldenboy, and Code Miko are among the celebrities who have joined in the fun in other capacities.
