After receiving a week-long ban from YouTube for “hate speech,” the hosts of the Fresh & Fit podcast claim they were the victims of a “targeted attack” and “mass reporting.”
After a seven-day suspension, the Fresh & Fit podcast has been reinstated on YouTube.
Walter Weekes and Myron Gaines, the duo behind Fresh & Fit, aim to “help men navigate women, finances, and fitness.” Weekes and Gaines have made controversial comments on their podcast in the past, most notably during their viral conversation with Instagram model Brittany Renner earlier this year.
In late March, YouTube banned the Fresh & Fit podcast for a week, leaving viewers perplexed as they awaited new content from the channel, which usually uploads multiple videos per day.
The duo returned seven days later with a live stream to explain why they’d taken such a long break. Weekes and Gaines claim they were banned because of ‘hate speech’ in two previous videos.
The hosts also claimed that their channel had been the target of a “targeted attack” by an unnamed YouTuber, and hinted at “mass reporting” from the YouTuber’s fanbase.
The hosts claim that their channel received around 15,000 subscribers during the seven-day suspension, despite the unexpected ban.
This latest ban lift comes on the heels of another major unban for Twitch streamer ‘ExoHydraX,’ whose channel was recently reinstated after being banned for a hot tub stream eight months ago.
