Just weeks after being flown out by Activision to play Modern Warfare 2 early, popular Warzone streamer FIVEBYFIVEx has responded after being permanently barred from the Call of Duty battle royale.
The issues with cheaters in Warzone have been well-documented, and in an effort to control the situation, the specialized anti-cheat system RICOCHET was first introduced back in December.
One well-known streamer has now been barred from the Call of Duty battle royale, but Activision recently flew her out to play Modern Warfare 2 early. In order to get some first-hand experience with MW2, which will launch in October, streamer FIVEBYFIVEx was flown to Infinity Ward’s studios in June 2022.
However, she is currently permanently prohibited from using Warzone. The Twitch streamer, who has over 61,000 followers, has had trouble with “shadow-banning” in the past but was permanently banned on July 15.
Five defended her innocence, saying that she has objected to the action with Activision and is more than willing to allow her PC to be thoroughly checked for cheats.
She claimed that the action forced her to create a new Warzone account at level 0 and that she later tweeted about it. She concluded by thanking the audience for their support. Activision has not responded, and the ban has not been altered or shortened as of this writing.
