The Tower of Fantasy from Perfect World has swept the globe. The game has been played by streamers all over the world recently, and according to SullyGnome, it has climbed into the top ten most watched games on Twitch over the past seven days.
Its action-adventure gameplay in an MMO open world was hailed as the “Genshin killer,” and it was unmistakably designed as a direct rival to Hoyoverse’s wildly successful anime-style gacha game Genshin Impact. Even though the game has enough differences from Genshin Impact to set it apart, the comparisons are valid.
The game was only recently made available to Western audiences on August 11. It has been available in Asian markets for quite some time. Even though the game has enough differences from Genshin Impact to set it apart, the comparisons are valid.
Many players, streamers, and critics have pointed out the similarities and differences, but a good number of them—including Enviosity—still believe Genshin Impact is the more well-polished game. He claims that he will only resort to Perfect World’s game if Genshin is completely updated.
He recently compared the two games and said that playing the new game and then returning to Genshin is a humiliating experience.
Then Enviosity went on to explain in detail why he was feeling this way. He was furious with those who dissed Genshin Impact. The streamer claims that playing Tower of Fantasy only increases one’s appreciation for Genshin Impact.
The majority of Enviosity players offered their own opinions while concurring with the streamer. To differentiate itself from Genshin Impact, the market leader, Tower of Fantasy has made a number of changes to the gacha formula.
Unfortunately, there are still many bugs and frequent crashes in the game. These comparisons can’t help but be made because both games share a similar aesthetic, art direction, and combat system.
