Today, Dr. Disrespect removed his gaming gear to demonstrate his true refinement as part of a campaign promoting his new bourbon spirit, Black Steel Bourbon.
The 93 proof small batch Kentucky bourbon whiskey is marketed as “traditional craft” with “untraditional spirit,” which is exactly the kind of marketing you would anticipate from a company run by the Two-Time. Doc developed Black Steel Bourbon, and Marianne Eaves, who was named to Forbes’ Food & Drink 30 under 30 list in 2015, is its master distiller. She has also appeared on the list of the 40 Under 40 Tastemakers from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
According to the website, the drink’s flavor profile consists of cinnamon, vanilla, charred wood, green apple, and citrus. Disrespect emphasizes that it tastes like winning, which is more significant. He said, “I can’t tell you how to win. I can only tell you what winning tastes like.”
The bourbon can be difficult to locate, though. The only product Black Steel is currently selling is a “very limited release,” according to the company’s website, and it can only be delivered to a little over half of the United States. The cost will vary depending on where you have it shipped to, but a delivery to North Carolina costs $61.99, while a delivery to Pennsylvania costs $64.99.
Doc is attempting to demonstrate that his “madness” can result in “evolution of a category that honors unchanging tradition” by bringing his aggression, speed, and momentum to the spirits industry.
