Two People Talking will be hosted by well-known esports company and popular streamer Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, it was announced today.
The chat show is being launched by Team Liquid in association with sponsor Alienware. According to a press release, Disguised Toast will host the five-episode series and interview “high-profile guests from across the gaming and entertainment landscape.”
The ongoing goal of Liquid is to provide content and goods that are targeted at “reaching broader audiences.”
This unusual cooperation is a part of that purpose. Although Liquid was first recognized for its fiercely competitive teams in League of Legends, Dota 2, and Super Smash Bros., it has now expanded into streaming, merchandising, and content creation.
Josie Brown, SVP of brand, marketing, and content at Liquid, stated, “We want to reach our fans where they are with content we know appeals to them. Shows like Two People Talking create more exciting opportunities for Team Liquid to show what we believe in through the content we produce and who we produce it with.”
The distinctive fusion of dry and fun humor that defines Disguised Toast will serve as the creative inspiration for Two People Talking. The 20 to 30 minute episodes will include a “Toast Pop” part that lasts for the duration of toasting a slice of bread. Michael Reeves, the creator of Offline TV, and Juan “Hungrybox” DeBiedma, a Liquid’s Melee expert, both appear in the premiere episode. Disguised Toast will converse with Tricia “triciaisabirdy” Wang and Sydney “Sydeon” Parker in upcoming episodes.
Disguised Toast stated, “I didn’t think something like this was in the cards. But hey, Team Liquid and Alienware came to me with an offer, a set, and I thought, ‘Why not?’ I think the show came out really well—perfectly toasted, if you will. And I hope you guys like it a lot.”
Over 9 million people follow Disguised Toast on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Disguised Toast is a gaming influencer. He began by playing games like Hearthstone, and now he’s well-known for playing Among Us alongside stars from Offline TV like Imane “Pokimane” Anys. Beginning on Monday, November 28, Two People Talking will be released every other week until January 2023. It’ll be accessible on Liquid’s YouTube channel.
