Twitch star Asmongold chastised World of Warcraft players who fondly recall previous expansions, claiming that they have “selective memory” and are only interested in piling on Shadowlands.

Asmongold has been playing World of Warcraft since the beginning and has thoroughly explored all eight expansions.

The Shadowlands expansion has received a largely negative response from fans, with concerns about the storyline at the top of their list of grievances.

Despite the fact that Asmongold has echoed many players’ complaints about the expansion, he has offered a defense of Shadowlands, claiming that those who praise older expansions are unaware of how good they have it now.

On March 11, the 30-year-old streamer was live when he reacted to a meme from the World of Warcraft community praising Warlords of Draenor, the game’s fifth expansion. He continued by saying that Shadowlands is not as bad as Draenor.

While Asmongold remains pessimistic about WoW’s future, he applauded the company for investing in a mobile version, calling it “a good idea.”
