After Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, popular Warcraft Twitch streamer Asmongold has returned with a big request for Xbox boss Phil Spencer.
In mid-January, Microsoft shocked the gaming world by announcing a massive $70 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Asmongold now wants to talk to one of the higher-ups about the move.
Microsoft will take control of blockbuster franchises like Overwatch, Call of Duty, and, of course, Warcraft with the acquisition, which won’t be approved until 2023.
Asmongold mentioned the deal during his return to streaming on his main channel, and he pushed for Phil Spencer to appear on his Allcraft podcast.
After expressing his support for Microsoft’s acquisition, Asmongold pushed for the CEO of Microsoft Gaming to appear on his show.
Spencer hasn’t responded to Asmongold’s Twitter follow, so an appearance on the show by the Xbox boss may be a while off for the time being, according to Asmongold.
With the Twitch streamer’s request now being made public, there’s a chance things will pick up and we’ll see the two come together in some way.
The streamer, for his part, is ecstatic about the Microsoft takeover, saying that, like many others, he believes that with Blizzard in charge, the game can’t get any worse, and that the new direction could be just what it needs.
Whether Spencer accepts Asmongold’s invitation will be seen, but if he does, it could be one of the most successful podcasts that the streamer has ever produced.
