Despite many fans’ concerns that Asmongold‘s streaming career may be coming to an end, he has no plans to stop creating content in the near future.
While Asmongold isn’t currently considering putting his streaming career on hold, he did say on stream that a future break could be permanent in response to a video posted to his subreddit. For the time being, Asmongold plans to keep streaming on Twitch, where he has over 2.9 million followers. Even if he stops streaming on a regular basis, Asmongold promised that creating content will always be a priority for him.
He told the stream that he will continue to make content in the future, whether it’s through YouTube videos, a larger role with OTK, or simply cutting back on his weekly streaming hours. He also confirmed a claim he made during a previous stream, in which he said that another break from streaming could mean the end of his Twitch career. He laughed when people compared his break to him “quitting” World of Warcraft.
Asmongold was instrumental in reviving the MMO genre on Twitch outside of World of Warcraft last year. Between Final Fantasy XIV Online and Final Fantasy XIV.
Asmongold acted as one of the major faces in bringing a surge of players to multiple MMOs, including Raiders of the Lost Ark and other titles, with him continuing to venture through these worlds in daily streams.
Asmongold is also a member of the OTK content collective, which includes Mizkif, Emiru, and Cyr. At this year’s Streamer Awards, hosted by QTCinderella and Maya Higa, the organization won the award for “best content organization.”
Fans can watch Asmongold on Twitch or through his YouTube channel, where he posts VODs.
