It turns out that ahead of the 2020 election, US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-first Cortez’s Twitch stream set a new record for the most successful debut stream.

During the campaign for the 2020 US presidential election, Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hosted her first livestream, in which she and other streamers played the popular ‘Among Us’ video game to encourage viewers to vote on November 3.

With the help of a number of notable guests, including fellow Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and several popular Twitch stars, the stream quickly surpassed 450,000 concurrent viewers. This feat was record-breaking, as Hasan Piker revealed in a Reddit post, and the stream was given its own page in the latest edition of the ‘Guinness World Records.’

AOC now ranks ninth among the top ten most-watched single-star Twitch streams of all time, behind TheGrefg, a Spanish streamer who once had a record 2.4 million concurrent viewers, and Ninja, a North American streamer who once had a record 616,693 concurrent viewers.
