People have been scratching their heads trying to figure out who the remaining five could be ever since Trainwreck, who has strong ties to the new streaming platform Kick, revealed that six new signings will be announced soon—one of whom ended up being chess pro Hikaru—and their eyes have turned to stream-queen Amouranth.
Amouranth’s name has been brought up due to the nature of her material and the less stringent ruleset Kick provides in comparison to Twitch. The streaming star acknowledged that she would be amenable to a move, but only if it weren’t exclusive. In an interview, she said, “I would give it a try for like a certain amount of money, but I don’t think I would really go exclusive on there.”
The reason is that it is currently very risky given the ambiguity surrounding its ownership and how that has harmed its image. But that’s not her only worry. Amouranth worries that Twitch might not like her streaming there as well and might find a reason to ban her channel as a consequence.
She said; “Would Twitch find easier ways to justify banning me? You know, like less leeway if I’m on that platform too? That is a concern for sure!”
Given how soon that is expected to happen, Amouranth’s response suggests she isn’t one of the remaining five signings. However, despite her reservations—which are valid given that the Amazon platform has already banned her five times—she might be open to a move in the future. Dr. Disrespect, who some think might be one of the five, is fed up with people’s inquiries. He commanded them to stop asking and to “shut the fuck up,” but he also added, “I’ll let you know,” implying that the entrance might be open.
Fans believe that anyone from Kai Cenat and YouRAGE to Asmongold and xQc could sign a contract with Kick. After all, it wouldn’t prevent them from Twitch broadcasting as well. In the upcoming weeks, official statements are anticipated to take place.
