Addison Rae, a TikTok star, attempted to ‘ratio’ her Twitter followers with a simple message, but several Minecraft YouTubers such as Tommyinnit and Tubbo were on the scene within minutes to grab the lead.
Ratio-ing has become a highly popular online phenomenon in recent years. To ‘ratio’ someone is to acquire more likes on a post than another person, and people frequently compete to see who can earn the most interaction. It’s especially popular among internet creators with large audiences. In 2020, MrBeast managed to throw Twitter into disarray when he organized a competition to see who could rate their message the fastest, and it turned into a conflict between BTS fans and YouTuber Corpse Husband.
However, the Minecraft community has some of the most remarkable Twitter stats, with popular producers racking up a staggering amount of likes in just a few minutes after posting. And that’s precisely what happened when TikTok star Addison Rae casually tweeted the word “ratio” recently.
While the influencer would normally get the most likes in the thread due to her large following, it didn’t take long for other popular Minecraft YouTubers to see the tweet and respond with their own responses. By that time, Addison’s original tweet had just over 20,000 likes, but Tubbo jumped in only a few minutes later, and the tweet now has over 80,000 likes.
Also, TommyInnit, a fellow YouTuber, only had to react to Tubbo’s comment with a simple “hahaha,” and he received over 30,000 likes. Even Karl Jacobs made an appearance with his own response to Tubbo’s tweet, which received over 40,000 likes.
This isn’t Addison’s first time interacting with the Minecraft community. Dream, a popular YouTuber, had previously gifted the celebrity his gear, and she was even shown to be in the Dream SMP’s Discord group at one point.
