DeathRun TV, the hardcore rogue-lite twin-stick shooter from publisher Merge Games and developer Laser Dog, now has a firm release date. Beginning June 1, 2022, Switch owners will be able to purchase the game.
DeathRun TV was announced for Switch for the first time in June 2021. There was no release date set at the time.

DeathRun TV is a fast-paced, rogue-lite twin-stick shooter set in the world’s most popular and deadly game show. As you compete for glory and your life on the set of a game show where only likes matter, you’ll experience real-time blistering speed and bullet-dodging action.
You’ll have to survive swarms of rabid mutants to progress and level up your contestant, with tons of weapons, a breakneck pace, and many freakishly powerful mutations to unlock. Each arena will put your reflexes to the test with twin-stick bullet hell action.

- Meet Eyeball, Zangbeef the Bear Wrestler, Elite Guard, and other legendary bosses. You’ll face a variety of strange and bizarre bosses, which will lead to intense and difficult battles.
- DEATHRUN TV connects streamers and their audiences with crazy and addictive Twitch integrations that allow viewers to type various crazy commands in chat to trigger in-game events. Will they assist you by increasing your size? Or will they send a swarm of monsters after you?
- Obtain likes, mutations, and strength – Obtaining those all-important likes and increasing your likability will reward you with an ever-changing roster of mutations to choose from, including exploding bodies and large heads.
- Unlock cool weapons – A state-of-the-art studio and proprietary technology will reanimate your body, allowing you to try again and again…Each run presents new challenges and opportunities for fame, and each death will unlock crazy new cool weapons
- Everything should be burned! – Have you ever fantasized about barbecuing monsters? If that’s the case, you’ve arrived at the right game show.
- Before it’s too late, deadly traps and explosives will begin to fall at the end of each room, so hurry out before the studio self-destructs and takes you with it!
- Viewers can use the Twitch chat to activate various Twitch features, such as:
spawning a horde of Monsters, making the Streamer’s passage through the level even more difficult.
- Increasing or decreasing the player’s size, makes them nearly invulnerable or even more vulnerable to death. A fantastic way to turn the tables on the audience!
- When you want those nice slow-motion moments, use Bullet Time mode.
