Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, a British LEC caster and streamer, has caught Covid and will be isolating and taking a break from streaming. He has stated that he will be streaming again soon and that his future as an LEC caster is uncertain.
Casters are reportedly in talks with Riot Games about their contracts for 2022, both in terms of pay and the ability to co-stream (Riot does not appear to grant casters co-streaming rights).
Even long-time hosts like Sjokz, who spoke about the issue in this video and said she hasn’t been signed yet, are generally hired on a freelance basis.
Caedrel has been linked to a coaching position with Vitality, who recently announced their 2022 LEC roster, which includes Alphari and Perkz.
