Ludwig Ahgren has had a difficult time transitioning to the next phase of his career. He switched from Twitch to YouTube Gaming almost three weeks ago, and he’s had a few bumps along the way. Ludwig’s situation worsened almost immediately, as the streamer was hit with a slew of copyright-related suspensions. Though he has since expressed a better understanding of the platform’s rules, the streamer recently broke his YouTube Gaming contract in an unintentional stream that had viewers laughing.
Ludwig was a few minutes late for his scheduled YouTube stream on December 13, prompting a series of “latewig” messages in his chat. He showed a quick clip from Twitch, where he had accidentally started his stream, after he started the stream. There’s a hilarious moment in the video when he realizes he’s on the wrong platform.
Slime and Ludwig recently simulcast Smash Summit 12, causing Ludwig to go live on his friend’s Twitch channel by accident. Ludwig joked that the clip would be used in a future lawsuit because he breached his YouTube Gaming contract after showing it off on YouTube. After that, his stream resumed as usual, with no further mention of the recent mishap. Ludwig did, however, mention another issue he’s having on YouTube that he hasn’t been able to solve yet.
Ludwig claims that his VODs have been taken down several times due to copyright issues. When asked about his December 12th stream, Ludwig said the video had been re-uploaded after being taken down for a short time because he was streaming an event that was “extremely copyrighted.”
Ludwig explained that his biggest challenge will be reacting to/watching certain clips, which is the same issue he had when he was banned multiple times after switching to YouTube Gaming.
Copyright issues appear to be a major issue among YouTubers in general, and content creators such as PewDiePie have recently slammed YouTube for its copyright policies. Ludwig was unsure of the said rules when he first started streaming on the platform, but he’s starting to understand what he can and can’t do.
Ludwig may have had a rocky start, but it appears that he is gaining a better understanding of the rules. Now all he has to do is make sure he’s on the right platform when his streams begin.
