After experiencing troubles while playing Mario Party Superstars, popular Twitch streamer Lirik expressed his dissatisfaction with Nintendo Switch Online.
On October 29th, the latest edition of Nintendo’s famous Mario Party series was released, and Twitch streamers gathered their friends to play the game live on stream. However, it wasn’t all roses and sunshine for everyone. Since the Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack was launched in the middle of October, users have been protesting about the platform’s online service on social media.
Twitch streamer Lirik planned to show off his Mario Party skills on his October 29th Twitch stream, but instead ended up ranting about the online service’s quality. While playing a Mario Party mini-game, Lirik noticed a lot of lag, remarking, “Bro, nice f**king jitters Nintendo, honestly. Like, It’s 2021 and you f**kers still suck at online.”
As the terrible connection remained, the creator continued to play the game while yelling at the screen. He answered to a viewer who complained about his connection quality after the troubles led him to lose the event, “Bro, I have an ethernet adapter. It’s not me you f**king idiot. I stream, obviously it’s not my connection.”
Lirik continued to play Mario Party for a few more hours, encountering further problems with the online connection before it finally smoothed out and he was able to win a few games.
Fans are hopeful that, since the release of the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack, the company will put more effort into upgrading their online service, as gamers are reporting connection problems when playing Nintendo 64 games with friends.
