The 39th Golden Joystick Awards recently held as an all-digital event on streaming platforms Twitch and YouTuber, and the complete list of all the winners are listed below.

Emily Rose and Nolan North of Uncharted hosted the all-digital event that featured 20 public-voted categories and two that were judged by critics. Millions of votes were casted, resulting in the list below.

The winners of the Golden Joystick Awards for 2021 are:

  • The best storyteller is Life is Strange: True Colors
  • It Takes Two to Play the Best Multiplayer Game
  • Resident Evil: Village has the best audio.
  • Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island is the best game expansion.
  • The mobile game of the year is League of Legends: Wild Rift
  • PlayStation 5 is the best gaming hardware.
  • Death’s Door is the best indie game.
  • Capcom was named Studio of the Year.
  • Maggie Robertson is the best performer (Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil: Village)
  • Housemarque receives the Breakthrough Award (critically chosen)
  • Final Fantasy XIV has the best game community.
  • Final Fantasy XIV: Still Playing Award
  • The best visual design is the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart 
  • Hitman 3 is the PC Game of the Year.
  • Nintendo Game of the Year is Metroid Dread 
  • Psychonauts 2 is the Xbox Game of the Year.
  • Resident Evil: Village is the PlayStation Game of the Year.
  • Elden Ring is the most wanted game in the world.
  • Deathloop wins the Critics’ Choice Award (critically chosen)
  • Best Game of the Year is the Resident Evil: Village 
  • Personal Computer is the Best Gaming Hardware of All Time (PC)
  • The greatest game of all time is Dark Souls
