Hasan streamed a car chase that ended in a fatality, and xQc has claimed that if he had done the same thing, he would have been banned from Twitch for breaking the conditions of service.
Recently, Hasan streamed himself viewing and commenting on a news report about a car chase in Los Angeles, which came dangerously close to violating Twitch’s rules against airing upsetting content. Hasan did not comply with Twitch’s terms of service and abruptly stopped the live news feed when it became obvious that someone had passed away, unlike xQc who was streaming the same event. After the incident, in another broadcast, xQc claimed that Hasan was able to get away with things that he couldn’t and that, if he had made the same error, he would have been banned.
He said; “I’m not being a snitch about it, but Hasan watched a guy die on stream. I took the precaution to hide it. I put a delay, and I was smart about it. And what is my reward for it? Nothing. f*ing nothing. Actually nothing. But trust me, if I saw that guy die on my stream, if I made a mistake, I would have gotten banned. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t care.”
Additionally, xQc asserted that Hasan was better able to avoid Terms of Service breaches due to his political beliefs and reputation in the streaming community. Hasan is a leftist political streamer in good standing, so that’s an immediate victory. Hasan was temporarily suspended from Twitch in December of last year for violating the platform’s racist slur policy. After a day, he was reinstated.
